Skittle Ratios

1. Go get your bags of Skittles from your supply bag and plate or napkin from your kitchen. If you do not have the Skittles/they were accidentally eaten before class, then you will have to use my predetermined ratio numbers (will be provided in Google Classroom assignment description)

 

2. Start at the Ratio Review Slide to help you learn about Ratios 3. Move on to Part 1. Use the examples to help you. Make sure to write your ratios in their original form AND simplest form whenever possible.

 

4. Once done with Part 1, move on to Part 2. Again, use the examples to help you & write all ratios in their original form AND simplest form when possible.

 

5. DO NOT EAT YOUR SKITTLES (manipulatives) UNTIL YOU ARE DONE WITH PART 2!!

 

6. Move on to Part 3 and complete. Then, you are done!

 

**You may not do your work on paper - you must do your work on the Pear Deck ***You may listen to music while doing this activity as long as it is not a distractor/you are not browsing

Ch. 1 L1 HW

The lesson slideshow is included in case you missed the lesson. You are still responsible for filling out your notes and taking a picture of them!

 

For your homework, you need to do the following:

 

1. Take a picture of your Ch. 1 Lesson 1 Notes and attach it to this assignment. 2. Open the Pear Deck linked below. Do your HW on the Pear Deck itself or do your HW on a separate piece of paper, then take a picture of all your work, and attach it to this assignment.

 

**If you plan to do your showed work on paper, please still record your answers on the Pear Deck and write "work showed on paper" on the Pear Deck slide for each question as well so I know to check for your showed work in this assignment.

 

EVERYONE needs to take a picture of their notes and attach it to this assignment as proof that your notes are filled out AND as a record in case you lose your notes in the future!

Coco Movie "Parent Permission Slip"

We will be watching the movie "Coco" next week during PE/Expl to help develop our understanding of Dia de los Muertos and Mexican Cultural Art. You will need to provide proof that your parent/guardian is okay with you watching Coco. The movie is rated PG for 7 years +, and the Common Sense Media rating can be found linked below. Your parent may state their permission in English or in their native language if English is difficult for them. If you do not do this Flipgrid by SUNDAY 10/25 by Midnight, you will not be able to watch Coco with the class, and you will be given another activity to do asynchronously during that time. If your parent does not want you to watch Coco, then please have them inform myself/Ms. Frost through email. Please have your parent/guardian record themselves saying the following words so I know I have their permission for you to watch the movie in class: "I am the parent/guardian of ___student name____ and I give my permission for ___student name___ to watch the movie Coco in class".
