Mrs. Kim Hunter is originally from the Northeast. She and her family moved to Santa Clara five years ago. Before moving to CA, she farmed on organic vegetable farms and taught high school biology in Tallahassee, FL and Boston, MA. After a few years teaching in the classroom, she managed education and volunteer programs on a Community Supported Agriculture Farm in Waltham, MA. She received her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from University of Vermont and later received her Masters in Science Education from Florida State University.

When she is not teaching, she is baking sourdough bread, biking, running, hiking, gardening and going on adventures with her twins and husband. They love exploring the Pacific Coast, Redwood forests, and small family farms.
