PTSA Programs

Volunteer Coordination - Help fill volunteer needs at both school and PTSA sponsored events, programs and activities.

PTSA Meetings - Executive Board meetings held once per month on Thursdays at 6:30 PM via Zoom or in person (8/4, 9/8, 10/6, 11/3, 12/1, 1/5, 2/2, 3/2, 4/6, 5/4 and 5/26)  There are also three General Association meetings held via Zoom or in person (9/22, 1/19, 3/30, 5/11); all are welcome to attend. The Executive Meetings are held immediately before the GA meetings.

Parent Education - Provide free parent education programs 2-3 times per year on topics such as cyber bullying, effective communication with adolescents and other topics as identified by SSC parent survey.

ASB & Rebates - Assist the ASB and help coordinate school and PTSA-sponsored rebates such as Box Tops for Education, Amazon Smile, e-Scrip and Office Depot 5% Back to School programs.  Provide financial support to ensure dances are free to attend.

Community Building - Pirate Kick-off Parent Meet and Greet, Ice Cream Social membership drive, Donuts with Adults (Fall and Spring), STEAM Student Engagements, and Community Connections, such as Family Game Night.    

Staff Luncheons - Provide Back to School, Holiday and Teacher Appreciation Week luncheons to show our support and appreciation.

Mini Grants - Provide grants for up to $200 in support of expanding after school enrichment clubs and to increase participation. Teacher grants for special program needs.
