Contact regarding the SSC

School Site Council

Each school must have an elected School Site Council (SSC) to represent parents, students, community members, and school staff in the school governance process.  The SSC is elected to serve a three (3) year term.  Elections for the incoming sixth grade class will be held around Back to School Night.

More information about Family Engagement opportunities is available on the SCUSD website.

Peterson's Site Council creates the annual Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).  Peterson's SSC has three (3) goals in the SPSA:

1.  Peterson staff will continue to improve the academic achievement for all students.

2.  Peterson staff and community will continue to provide support for under-performing students.

3.  Peterson staff and community will continue to improve our school climate both inside and outside of the classroom.

Peterson's board approved SPSA is available for review on the SCUSD website.

Annual Parent & Student SSC Survey

Parent and student feedback is integral to the success of our school's programs. This essential information necessary to modify and improve school plans, programs and processes.   Annually in the spring, the SSC surveys parents and students to obtain feedback.  The survey results are analyzed, and changes to the SPSA is considered in the fall.

Summary results of the survies are available for your review in the files list to the left.
