School Site Council
Each school must have an elected School Site Council (SSC) to represent parents, students, community members, and school staff in the school governance process. The SSC is elected to serve a three (3) year term.

Peterson's Site Council creates the annual Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). Peterson's SSC has three (3) goals in the SPSA:
- Peterson staff will continue to improve the academic achievement for all students.
- Improve school climate inside and outside of the classroom for our students.
- Provide support and intervention for under-performing students.
Peterson's board approved SPSA is available for review on the SCUSD website.
Parent and student feedback is integral to the success of our school's programs. This essential information necessary to modify and improve school plans, programs and processes. Annually in the spring, the SSC surveys parents and students to obtain feedback. The survey results are analyzed, and changes to the SPSA is considered in the fall.
Meetings are scheduled for the second Tuesday monthly during the school year. These meetings will be held virtually 3:15pm - 4:15pm.
